Rodin is a tool that reads your writing and surfaces how you think. Because your notes are personal, we want to be direct about exactly what happens to your data — no vague language, no hidden uses.
When you use Rodin, we collect:
We do not collect passwords, payment information, or any information about you beyond what you explicitly provide.
We use your data for exactly one purpose: to generate and display your intellectual fingerprint profile.
Specifically:
We do not sell your data. We do not store your writing. We do not use your data to train machine learning models. We do not show you ads.
When you create a profile, your name, handle, and fingerprint become publicly accessible to anyone with the link. There is no login required to view a profile. Your profile URL (e.g. rodin.fyi/p/[id]) is designed to be shareable.
Before creating a profile, review what will be made public. Your fingerprint contains an AI-generated characterization of your thinking — including a "blind spots" section — derived from the writing you submitted. Consider whether the content you upload reflects what you want associated with your name publicly.
Rodin uses the following third-party services:
All three services may process data in the United States. By using Rodin, you acknowledge this.
Profiles and associated data are retained indefinitely to maintain the service. We do not currently have an automated profile deletion mechanism — this is a known gap we are working to address.
Until user-initiated deletion is available, you can request deletion by emailing privacy@rodin.fyi with your profile URL. We will process valid deletion requests within 30 days. Note that data may persist in backups for up to 90 additional days after deletion.
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@rodin.fyi. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Rodin is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to Rodin, contact us at privacy@rodin.fyi and we will delete it.
We will update this policy as Rodin evolves. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Rodin after changes constitutes acceptance.
